Hundreds of Safeway employees volunteer their time and expertise to ensure our special events are the best possible.

Annual Charity Golf Classic - Calgary, Alberta

For the past five years our annual Charity Golf Classis has raised over $3 million, ensuring the Foundation continues to feed, protect and nurture children and families in Western Canada. Located at the Priddis Greens Golf and Country Club, attendees enjoy an exciting game of golf in the heart of the scenic Alberta Foothills. This private, picturesque course is comprised of 36 holes that challenge both the skills and imagination of those attending. Every hole on the course is manned by a friendly face and a laugh or two, as cheerful Safeway volunteers make the round of golf more than a game but a memorable experience for all. Held each July, our Charity Golf Classic has made a name for itself as one of the premier events in the Canadian grocery industry. The upcoming Charity Golf Classic will take place on July 25 and 26, 2007.

Canada Safeway Foundation Annual Gala - Calgary, Alberta

Our first Gala was held in February, 2004, providing an elegant and romantic evening for community members and our partners. Now an annual event, the Gala continues to provide an exquisite dinner, a live and silent auction and wonderful entertainment. Funds raised at the Gala support our Safeway Sends Kids to Camp initiative. Safeway employees volunteer their time and expertise to ensure the event was the best it could be. All those that attend the Gala agree it's an evening to remember.

Safeway Sends Kids to Camp Gala - Vancouver, British Columbia

On May 2nd, 2007 the Canada Safeway Foundation held its 2nd Annual fundraiser in Vancouver, BC. The evening was a wonderful opportunity to see good friends, celebrate the work of the Foundation and raise funds to support our commitment to Camp Potlatch, a facility of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Vancouver. The attendees consisted of Camp Potlatch alumni, Safeway partners and friends of both organizations. Special thanks to the Safeway employee volunteers who made the evening even more special.
